1.  Find a qualified, experienced real estate agent to guide you.

2.  Determine your Needs and Desires

3.  Determine your Purchasing Power with the help of a mortgage officer.

4.  Obtain Mortgage Approval and a Pre-Approval Letter from a lender. (Very Important)

5.  Find potentially desirable homes and have your agent set up appointments to view them.

6.  Write up an offer to purchase the desired home.

7.  Contingencies to consider: Home inspections, Financing,  etc. 

8.  Contract is accepted by Seller.

9.  Make formal application for financing with your lender.

10.  Schedule the desired Home Inspections.

11. Select your Settlement Company

12. Arrange the Termite Inspection.

13. Obtain Homeowner's Insurance.

14. Contact Utility companies to change service.

15. Do Pre-Settlement Walk-through.

16. Settlement Day...pick up the keys.

17. Move in and start enjoying your new home.
